	The tradition continues at our family owned and operated smokehouse, as we follow the time-honored techniques for curing and smoking seafood. The elders of the Haida and Tahltan first nations smoked salmon as a staple but also gave this as a gift in high esteem, sharing their bounty with friends and visiting tribes. Sockeye salmon, also known as Lox, is referred by many to be a light smoke, leaving the salmon moist and not salty.
