Portlock’s Wild King Salmon has been featured in Sunset magazine and noted as “the best in the west”. Caught in Alaska’s pristine waters, Wild King Salmon has a distinctive and spectacular taste. Our Hot Smoked Traditional King Salmon is wonderfully moist and finished with a delicate alder wood smoke.
This is a hot smoked preparation, meaning it is cured, cooked and smoked with alder wood to reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees. A term synonymous with hot smoked salmon is kippered salmon. The taste and texture of Hot Smoked Traditional King Salmon can be described as salmon that is “just off the barbeque”, characterized by a firm and moist flesh.
Portlock’s Hot Smoked Traditional King Salmon can be re-frozen or stored in your refrigerator for 30 days unopened. Once opened it will last 3 - 5 days refrigerated.
